OVER is used to express resting on a surface of sb/sth and partly or completely covering them/it(被某種情緒覆蓋):
1. She put a blanket over the sleeping child.
2. He wore an overcoat over his suit.
3. She put her hand over her mouth to stop herself from screaming.
